About Kristen
Kristen began her career as a writer at the age of eighteen. Thief of Sorrows was the first novel she had ever considered putting onto paper. It will always hold a special place in her heart along with all of the characters. One in particular. Music is her biggest source of inspiration when it comes to writing. The Star Wars (mainly episodes I and III) and Lord of the Rings scores sit at the top of her Spotify playlist.
Fantasy romance and epic fantasy are her two favorite genres to write. However, she does dabble in vampire lore as well. She loves creating characters and worlds that live in her readers’ hearts and become a part of their lives. It’s her goal, with any book she writes, to leave a lasting impression on her readers. To remind them that they are not alone.
She is a Tennessee native and grew up in a small town just outside of Chattanooga. Reading has always been her favorite past time with Sarah J. Maas, Brigid Kemmerer, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Charlotte Bronte as some of her favorite authors. Her favorite thing to do besides reading is spending time with her amazing family, enjoying the outdoors, baking, and trying new restaurants/breweries. She also works as an Emergency Room nurse. It is Kristen’s dream to leave her stethoscope behind one day and become a writer full-time.
